What is a blood test?
Blood tests provide information about the values being measured. Which tests are relevant depends on your health concerns, medical history, and any symptoms you may have. At Aepril Clinics, we work with a partner who performs the blood draw, and the blood is then analyzed by a laboratory.
Blood test results do not stand alone. The doctor evaluates the results in conjunction with the available medical information. An abnormal result does not automatically mean that you are sick, and normal results do not rule out all possible conditions.

1. Basic Blood Tests
An initial overview of selected general blood test results.
The Basic Blood Test is intended for people who want an overview of a selection of general blood values. The package offers a specific test with a medical evaluation of the results.
The package includes:
- Venous blood draw.
- Laboratory tests covered by the basic health insurance plan.
- Digital medical review of the results.
You will receive a list of the blood test results that will be analyzed in advance.
2. Complete Blood Count
A more comprehensive selection of blood test results.
The Complete Blood Test includes more tests than the basic package. This may be appropriate if you have a broader health concern. We’ll help you determine whether this more comprehensive selection aligns with your needs and personal situation.
The package includes:
- Venous blood draw.
- Laboratory analysis of the values in the complete set.
- Medical evaluation of the results.
- Feedback on the results and any next steps.
“Complete” refers to the more comprehensive nature of this package. It does not mean that all blood values or possible conditions are tested.
3. Vitamin Check
Targeted insight into selected vitamin values.
Would you like to have certain vitamin levels tested? With the Vitamin Check, we focus on the vitamins included in this package. We’ll discuss in advance whether the test addresses your specific needs. Please let us know which supplements you’re taking, as this may be important for the assessment.
The package includes:
- Venous blood draw.
- Laboratory analysis of the selected vitamin levels.
- Medical evaluation of the results.
- Feedback and advice on any next steps.
The Vitamin Check examines a selection of values and does not identify all possible nutritional deficiencies.
Medical Evaluation of Your Test Results
After the laboratory analysis, a doctor reviews the results. Factors such as your age, medical history, medications, use of supplements, and any symptoms you may have can be important in this assessment.
You will receive an explanation of the findings and advice on whether further action is needed. Sometimes it is advisable to repeat a test. In other situations, the doctor may recommend that you contact your primary care physician for further evaluation.

1. Choose your package
You can choose between the Basic Blood Test, the Complete Blood Test, or the Vitamin Check. We’ll let you know in advance what each one includes and how much they cost.
2. You will receive the invitation
You’ll receive instructions specific to the test you’ve chosen. These instructions will indicate, for example, whether you need to fast before your appointment. With so many locations, there’s always a blood draw option near you.
3. The lab analyzes your blood
The laboratory analyzes the test results associated with your package. The turnaround time depends on the tests requested.
4. You will receive your results
After a medical evaluation, you will receive the results and corresponding feedback during a comprehensive in-person or virtual consultation. If further evaluation is needed, we will advise you accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can choose from the Basic Blood Test, the Comprehensive Blood Test, and the Vitamin Check. The packages differ in the selection and number of values tested.
“Basic” includes a selection of general blood tests. “Complete” includes a more extensive selection of tests. You will receive information in advance about the exact scope of the test, so you know what is and isn’t being tested.
The Vitamin Check analyzes the selected vitamin levels included in the package. You will receive an overview of these tests in advance. Not every vitamin or every possible nutritional deficiency is tested as part of this check.
Blood is drawn from a vein using a needle, usually in your arm. You may feel a brief prick. Please let us know in advance if you find blood draws stressful or if you’re prone to fainting.
That depends on the requested tests. You will receive instructions for your test in advance. Please follow them carefully so that the results can be properly evaluated.
Do not stop taking your prescribed medication on your own. Let us know in advance which medications and supplements you are taking. You will be advised if a specific test requires any special preparation.
The turnaround time depends on the test results. When you schedule your appointment, we’ll let you know the expected turnaround time and how you’ll receive your results.
Yes. A doctor reviews the results and indicates whether further action is needed. A comprehensive medical consultation that includes a broader health assessment is part of our PMO: Health Checks.
The doctor will assess what the abnormality might mean in your specific situation. Sometimes no further action is needed; other times, a follow-up visit, additional testing, or contact with your primary care physician may be recommended. Do not start treatment or take high doses of supplements on your own.
No. Blood tests only provide information about the levels measured at that specific moment. Normal test results do not rule out all possible conditions. If you have persistent or worsening symptoms, discuss them with your primary care physician.
