Beautiful, fuller lips are something many women dream of. But the thought of a lip filler also raises questions: doesn’t it look excessive? Is it safe? And what if I don’t like it? In this blog, we answer all your questions about lip filler at Aepril Clinics.

Fuller lips
What is a lip filler?
A lip filler is an injectable based on hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in your body and retains moisture. Injecting it into the lips increases volume and improves the lip contour. The results are immediately visible and give lips a fuller, natural appearance.
Hyaluronic acid has a special property: it can hold up to a thousand times its own weight in moisture. When injected into the lips, it attracts moisture from the surrounding tissues. This not only creates volume, but also a soft, supple texture. The lips feel natural, even to others.
Because hyaluronic acid is a substance your body is already familiar with, the risk of allergic reactions is very low. Your body gradually breaks down the drug, slowly reducing the results after six to 12 months.
Profhilo treatment at Aepril
This is how a lip filler treatment proceeds
After a consultation, we apply hyaluronic acid to the appropriate areas in and around the lips. This takes 30 to 45 minutes. We always use an anesthetic cream or numbing solution so that the treatment is as comfortable as possible. Afterwards, your lips will be slightly swollen at first, but this will subside in 24 to 48 hours. You can basically continue with your daily activities as usual.
We also offer a free post-treatment so we only send you out with your dream lips!

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about lip fillers
You think about it, but you also have questions. Is it going to hurt? How long will it take? What if I don’t like it? We hear them all. In this blog, we answer the most frequently asked questions about lip filler at Aepril Clinics.
Usually a lip filler treatment takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
We always use an anesthetic cream beforehand, and the hyaluronic acid we inject often contains lidocaine. Most women describe it as a slight pressure or tingling, not painful.
Yes, but keep in mind that your lips will be swollen. Many women schedule the treatment on a Friday so they have the weekend to recover. But it is absolutely not a medical necessity to stay home.
Immediately after treatment, the lips are swollen. This is normal. The swelling subsides in the first 24 to 48 hours. Sometimes there is also a slight blue spot. The final result is visible after a week to 10 days.
You can have Hyaluronic Acid fillers dissolved with hyaluronidase. This is a safe, quick treatment. At Aepril Clinics, we’re always open to talking to you if you’re not satisfied.
It depends entirely on the amount of filler we use and the effect you want to achieve. Our approach is always subtle and natural. We listen to what you want and work from the philosophy: less is more. A good lip filler does not stand out.
The results of lip fillers remain visible for an average of 6 to 12 months. Over time, the hyaluronic acid is broken down by your body.
