Only BIG-registered physicians work at Aepril Clinics. These doctors are licensed and highly competent to perform the treatments we offer.

We follow the Dutch government’s Cosmetic Care Quality Framework (PDF) and work according to the guidelines of the Dutch Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NVCG).

1. Introduction

At Aepril Clinics, safe, competent and responsible cosmetic care is paramount. Our clients should be able to rely on high-quality care delivered by well-trained professionals in a safe and personal environment.

This quality report is prepared in line with the official Cosmetic Care Quality Framework and aims to provide openness on how we ensure quality and continuously improve. Transparency, trust and quality are at the heart of how we work.

With this annual report, we offer insight into our practices, training, safety and handling of feedback. This is how we continue to work toward the highest standard of care, today and in the future.

This report was made public on 30-07-2025 and is freely available to clients, regulators and other stakeholders.

2. Our vision of cosmetic care

We believe that cosmetic treatment goes beyond appearance. It is a form of medical care in which professionalism, ethics and attention to the client’s well-being are inseparable.

Our approach is holistic: we combine high-quality injectables with medical expertise and genuine personal attention. Sometimes this means that we advise against or delay treatment if we believe it is in the client’s best interest.

We always strive for natural results that support the client’s self-confidence, not unrealistic perfection.

3. Expertise of practitioners

Only BIG-registered doctors or specialized nurses with proven experience in the field of cosmetic medicine work at Aepril Clinics. New doctors go through an intensive internal training program led by Drs. Elnaz Alagha, where treatments are performed independently only on the basis of:

  • Competence: official registration and accreditation
  • Proficiency: demonstrated proficiency through practical training
  • Assessment: internal and external review of treatment outcomes

Our practitioners attend multiple trainings annually, including:

  • Internal supervisions and walk-in days
  • Product training from suppliers
  • International conferences and courses
  • Case discussions and peer review

This systematic continuing education guarantees that our doctors always work according to the latest insights and techniques. BIG codes are online with our practitioners and are available for inspection by anyone upon request.

4. Informed consent and consultation

Each client receives a comprehensive consultation of at least 10 minutes prior to treatment, including repeat treatments. In this we discuss:

  • The client’s medical and aesthetic needs
  • Realistic expectations
  • Treatment options and risks
  • The medical background and any contraindications

Based on this information, an informed decision is made. We work according to the principle of informed consent and maintain strict records in accordance with medical guidelines. Only when we are convinced of the medical and ethical appropriateness will we proceed to treatment.

Treatment is performed only when there is a clear indication, appropriate to the request for help and medically justified.

5. Safety, hygiene and complications

Hygiene and safety are our top priority. Our clinics are professionally cleaned weekly and maintained daily by the team themselves. Between treatments, each area is thoroughly disinfected.

We work for all our products and tools:

  • Infection Prevention
  • Emergency and complication procedures
  • Medication management and product storage

We maintain a complication registry and have a protocol for reporting calamities in accordance with the Wkkgz.

We urge every client to have a free check-up appointment after 2 weeks to be assessed by one of our practitioners, regardless of the result. This way we can see complications and act in time, even if the client is not capable of assessing it himself.

These protocols are reviewed and updated quarterly in collaboration with an outside medical advisor. This keeps us in compliance with the strictest standards.

For aftercare and complications, we are available by phone 24/7 and the phone also has a back-up if the first person cannot answer. In addition, we are also accessible via Whatsapp.

6. Products, tools and quality

Regarding our products, we work only with CE-certified medication, available only by prescription and directly from the main supplier with a pharmacy as our medical contact. We do not obtain products outside Europe and not from unreliable and uncertified outlets.

Provenance and batch numbers are recorded in the file so that all clients can always retrieve the medication used insightfully.

We are not trend-sensitive and research a new treatment, technique or product for at least 6 months before offering it. Our quality requirements are:

  • Experience in the market: number of years product/treatment has been in the market
  • European certifications: country of origin of product/treatment
  • Evidence-based outcomes: multiple qualitative studies and results demonstrating that the product/treatment is safe and meets expectations

Once new product/treatment is added to our offerings, they are performed only by practitioners who are competent and licensed to do so.

7. Client satisfaction and complaint handling

We are proud of our excellent reputation, supported by more than a hundred positive reviews on various platforms. Nevertheless, we remain alert and self-critical. We regularly involve clients in improving our services through anonymous surveys or one-on-one feedback calls.

Our approach:

  • Regular client satisfaction surveys
  • Active feedback collection after each treatment
  • Internal discussion of suggestions and complaints

For official complaints, we are affiliated with DOKh – Foundation for Healthcare Complaints and Disputes Committee. This external party handles complaints objectively and independently. Any mediation costs are for our own account.

8. Continuous quality improvement

Quality is a continuous process. At Aepril Clinics, improvements are made weekly through:

  • Supervision and intervision moments
  • Quarterly meetings with case review.
  • Ongoing updating of protocols
  • Legal review and guidance from a specialized healthcare lawyer

We record internal areas for improvement and implement them quickly and in a structured manner in our policies and daily practices.

9. Privacy and data protection

We handle personal data with extreme care. Only practitioners directly involved in care have access to medical records.

Our approach:

  • Full AVG compliant policy
  • Use of secure, certified software systems
  • Possibility of complete deletion of data upon request
  • No use of client data for commercial purposes without explicit consent

10. Justification and date of preparation

The report is updated annually and reviewed internally every six months.
